It was part of a small group of extraordinary flower paintings he created that spring, including two paintings of irises and two of roses. The colors we see today are actually a little different from those Van Gogh originally painted: some pigments have faded over time, changing parts of the original color harmony. The original Irises is now cared for by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. I love the idea that a painting created more than 130 years ago can leave the museum walls and become part of ordinary life — morning coffee, a book in bed, a weekend away, or simply a quiet night at home. 🧵 SOFT, LIGHTWEIGHT & MADE FOR RELAXING The fabric is a polyester and spandex blend, giving the pajamas a soft, lightweight feel with a little flexibility for comfortable movement.
